Originally selected in Valensole, France for its exceptional essential oil quality. Maillette produces deep violet-blue flower spikes on sturdy mid-length stems with rich, full fragrance — the kind people think of when they imagine "real" lavender. One of the best English varieties for essential oil production, and equally excellent for cooking, teas, dried bouquets, sachets, and garden borders.

Culinary-grade — flowers and leaves are food-safe for baking, teas, and seasoning.
